Fall Themed Thank You Cards

I made this card a couple weeks ago, I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I actually made two of the same card since I had to send two thank you notes. Of course I used mostly Stampin’ Up! products on the cards. For the cardstock I used Crumb Cake, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla (MM, CC and AA are part of the SU! Regals Collection). Other SU! stuff I used were the linen thread, Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon, Fabulous Phrases stamp set and pearls. I also used the Polka Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, Peeled Paint and Rock Candy Distress Stickles, and a Fiskars edge punch. The leaves were cut out of the A Child’s Year Cricut cartridge.

Yes, I Still Craft!

Hello, everyone! Ugh, I hate how I’m ignoring this blog the past few months. I promise I’ll try to do better! I am still crafting and thought I’d share a few cards I recently made.

This card I made to accompany the gift I purchased for my December 2011 mom’s onesie exchange. I used my 9 Months Cricut cartridge for the pregnant lady and I welded the words together using my Gypsy and the Gypsy Font cartridge. All the paper used was Stampin’ Up! in the colors Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake (the lady’s skin was just some cardstock I had in my stash). To complete the card I Cuttlebugged the lady’s dress, added a SU! button to her hair and placed some SU! pearls in three of the corners.

Here’s a thank you card I made. This one didn’t turn out as nice as I would have liked. Looking back I wish I would have stamped the butterflies on a separate piece of cardstock and then fussy cut them out and glued them to the circle. Oh well… live and learn! For the background layer I used some Pear Pizzaz Stampin’ Up! cardstock and scored it in my Martha Stewart scoreboard. I then took some So Saffron and used my SU! scallop edge border punch and then added some Bashful Blue ribbon and used a random “thank you” stamp I had in my stash.  Next I took a couple punches and punched out a circle of Very Vanilla and a scalloped circle of Bashful Blue. The flowers and butterflies are from the Sweet Summer SU! stamp set. To complete the card I added some SU! bling.

Probably my favorite of the three cards! I used my Bloom Cricut Lite cartridge for the flowers (such a great cartridge!). Stampin’ Up! cardstock colors I used include Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzaz and Wild Wasabi. I used my SU! scallop border edge punch and some Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon and my Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder. The “thanks” stamp is from the SU! Fabulous Phrases set and to complete the card I added a few stick-on pearls.

Thank you all for looking, and I hope to blog a bit more around these parts! If you haven’t checked out my other blog, you can see it here, I update over there a lot more.

Thank You Card

-Nestabilities Labels 13 dies

Belly Shot Pages

Here are two more pages in my pregnancy scrapbook. They’re similar to the two other belly shot pages I previously created. If I go the full 40 weeks I’ll have enough spaces to include a photo every week (I plan on using the front and back of six of the tags). If I don’t go the full 40 weeks I’ll probably include some postpartum photos. And if I go over 40 weeks? Well, I can’t imagine that I’ll really be wanting my picture taken at that point… but if I do, I can always make another tag.

Per usual, all the cardstock I used was Stampin’ Up! in colors Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I also used Crumb Cake ink on all the elements for a distressed look. Take a look!

Supplies:
-SU! Crocheted flowers
-SU! buttons in So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink (Subtles collection)
-SU! Pretty in Pink ribbon
-SU! Linen Thread
-Green embroidery floss
-Flower border Sizzix die

-Skin toned cardstock (just from my stash, not sure of the brand)
-Argyle Sizzix embossing folder
-Spots and Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
-Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug embossing folder
-9 Months Cricut cartridge (pregnant lady)

Supplies:
-SU! Pretty in Pink ribbon
-SU! Certainly Celery ribbon
-SU! Bashful Blue ribbon
-SU! corduroy buttons (brad style)
-SU! Linen Thread
-Making Memories Epoxy Clips
-Tim Holtz Philosophy Tag
-Tape Measure ribbon (from my stash)
-Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut cartridge (tags, used with Gypsy)
-9 Months Cricut cartridge (“growing belly” word art)

I have maybe three or four pages left in this album, and then I plan on doing a “Year You Were Born” album with pages like popular TV shows, popular movies, top news stories, top baby names, etc. Can you guys believe I’m 20 weeks already? That’s exactly the half way mark of my pregnancy! If you’re interested in seeing what’s going on with my pregnancy, check out my other blog, The Accidental Wallflower.

Also, don’t forget to check out my other blog, The Accidental Wallflower, where I post everything else not related to crafting and decorating.

Pregnancy Scrapbook Pages

Have I mentioned how good it feels to get in my craft room again? I have? Well, I totally mean it! I can forget about everything that’s bothering me and just focus on the task at hand… which in this case happens to be the nearly sweet potato sized baby I’m growing :). Here are the first three pages of my pregnancy scrapbook. Click here to see what I did for the front cover of the album.

Like with the cover, I used all Stampin’ Up! cardstock. For the album I’m using Crumb Cake (pages), Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery (in the previous post I mistakenly identified the green as Pear Pizzaz). I distressed all elements with Crumb Cake ink.

Here’s the first page.

The day that changed our lives!

-Certainly Celery ribbon from SU!
-Scallop Trim border punch from SU!
-Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Nestabilities

-Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher stapler
-Bling
-Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge (scalloped circle)
-9 Months Cricut cartridge (pregnancy test)

And here’s the second page.

I don’t know why this picture is so dark!

Supplies
-Polka Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
-Heart stick pins
-9 Months Cricut cartridge (word art)

Last but not least, the third page.

Baby's first pictures

-So Saffron ribbon from SU!
-Making Memories mini flowers and flower brads

I think so far the pages turned out cute! Pretty simple, which is what I was going for, otherwise I’d never finish it! I’ve got at least 8-10 other page ideas for my pregnancy scrapbook, but if anyone has suggestions on what to add I’d love to hear them!
